Peter Gilles has been photographing community and family events for over forty years.

His work has been published in local and national periodicals including The Chronicle of the Horse, Arab Horse Times, Horse Country, Coverside, The Detroit News, The Detroit Free Press, Lapeer County Press, LA View, The Flint Journal and Hour Magazine.

Peter has produced various publications including the Metamora Carriage Driving Event and Metamora Pleasure Driving Show Program, the USEF Program with Hunters Run Farm, the Metamora Area Chamber of Commerce Directory, the booklet for Celebration of the Horse, as well as having worked as editor and photographer on the Metamora Hunt Yearbooks.

His equine photos are currently available for sale at The Classic Horse in downtown Metamora or by contacting Peter by email at metamoraphoto1@aol, where themes include carriage driving, eventing, and fox hunting. He currently is official photographer for the Metamora Carriage and Driving Association.

He is a Contributor to the Waterloo Classic Artists Show in connection with the Waterloo Hunt and collaborator and contributor to the MFHA Centennial DVD, as well as having a photograph chosen for the MFHA 2012 calendar.

Recently he took Best in Show honors at the Merge Gallery in Oxford, Michigan.

In 2016 he was presented his colors from Ken Matheis, MFH of the Metamora Hunt and in 2017 received the John R. Lynch trophy from the Metamora Carriage and Driving Association.
